ASOS seem to have fallen for Azealia Banks big time. Not only is she one of the faces of ASOS’s Christmas campaign, alongside Charlotte Free and Ellie Goulding, but she wore Martine Rose x ASOS in her new video Atlantis and revealed her beauty secrets for the brand. Now there’s another Azealia x Asos collab, as pictures have landed of her cover shoot for the January issue of ASOS Magazine.

In the accompanying interview, the rap star denies she’s fashion royalty. ‘I would say I’m fashionable, but I’m not a fashion queen,’ she confesses. ‘I don’t really think about it too much.’ So how does she feel about the crazy world of fash? ‘I feel like it’s created this thing for me to stand on that I didn’t even intend to have as a musician, but when it’s time to make your album, you make your album.’

The singer is only 21 and has already had monster success after posting videos on YouTube, and she said about her skyrocketing career: ‘Sometimes I feel like I float in and out of different personalities. As a kid, I was a big thinker – I was always daydreaming of being rich. Its kind of weird, I feel like I’ve willed this life. I feel like I’ve done enough work and enough music and now Azealia Banks is a name. I’m not just some up and coming person. I feel I can do anything right now, with concentration, will and hard work.’

For the cover shot by photographer Tyrone Lebon, Azealia sparkles in an ASOS coloured jewelled bralet, paired with a leather ASOS skirt. She is a gothic princess in biker boots and a sheer black skirt, perched on a rather grand bed surrounded by church candles in a medieval looking room. She also has one of the biggest gold lion necklaces we have ever seen – yep that’s right even bigger than the ones cemented to Rihanna’s neck.

Azealia Banks Sold her “Fantsea” Online for FREE and people ATE IT UP!. Seriously ! She also dished on how she picks her stage outfits. ‘I have a friend in New York who I’ll give $5,000 and she’ll come back with loads of stuff for me to try on. But the last thing I bought myself were these sparkly Miu Miu shoes that I picked up in Hawaii. Sparkly glitter shoes!’ Sounds fab to us!She also chatted to ASOS about her album and said: ‘I’m taking a lot of risks with this record, but music is so personal. I’m nervous, I’m excited, and there’s this crazy adrenaline. I’m sleeping in the studio, I have knots in my throat and I’m so anxious, I’m a nervous wreck.’

Now you can SHOP her looks at ASOS ! Let me tell you, They are SUPER DOPPER HOT! The prints, Wine reds, and bold biker lust is drop dead insane. When comes to mind when you see an art piece such as this? A great representation of an artist struggling to find his own way by forming and shaping himself to a better human being. Artist and photographer, Alejandro Maestre Gasteazi uses modern day green screen-ike technology to create this visually striking series of photos.

Gasteazi asked his friend Julián to cover himself with a mixture of blue paint and mud. He then photographed Julián at various stages. Later, in Photoshop, Gasteazi cut around his subject’s body to make him appear like a floating sculpture. I have idealize this man for some time and I’am glade to present my readers to an very extraordinary man

#FASHION Parda Real Fantasies Fall/Winter 2012

Commissioned by Prada, the Rotterdam-based AMO has created a super retro-futuristic video campaign drenched in digital, mixed media motifs. Models are depicted amongst a backdrop of an advanced society of machines and geometric landscapes, envisioning the future of fashion as a retrofitted past. Surrealism at its chicest. Check out the full film (above)!

Incredible piece of Art. Inspired by the glass shards found in his home after hurricane Andrew hit 1992 in Miami, New York-based artist Daniel Arsham has created a series of sculptures made entirely from shattered glass.

The artist says of the work: “After witnessing first hand the dramatic and destructive force of nature, I was inspired to transform the devastating energy I observed in the storm and reform it to a new and imaginative purpose.” Some of the pieces are now able to be seen at Pippy Gouldsworth Gallery . Browse through his inspiration and work of art.

#MUSIC Hortlax Cobra of Peter Bjorn & John

Stumble on this interview from bullet and I thought it was an interesting article! Listen to the music on Soundcloud and I fell in love with it. It sounds like Little Dragon, Crystal Castles , Fol Chen and even Paramore. Also the logo cover art? with the cobra on his head was soo funky fresh ! I need an head piece in my back pocket for the parties.

“A good friend suggested that I could do like painters do, my own interpretation of an old classic movie. I went through my bookshelf and found my old Van Halen album with my handwriting on the back cover reading: ‘Bought by John 1984.’”

“So I started to build my own first solo album around the tempos, keys and lengths of all the tracks on the original Van Halen record,” he explains. “I didn’t sample anything apart from the noise of the needle running in the grooves before the music starts playing (on side A and B). As I was a hard rocker in 1984 I now wanted to use only synths and keyboards, so almost every sound on the album is electronic instruments apart from the opening track “1984” which is only a processed acoustic guitar.”

“When I had made this concept album I felt ready to do something totally from scratch, so a couple of weeks after my 1984 was done I started to work on my ‘real’ first solo albumNight Shift. So, these 2 albums are connected in many ways but none of them would exist if I hadn’t heard ‘Jump’ back in 1984.”

We are a big fan of Kanye west artistic genius and when he links up with other amazing artist , they can only shoot for the stars. What really caught my eye is his flashy cover art!
